This is the view directly out our back door. A robin has built a nest, over the last couple of days, literally inches away from the sliding glass door that leads onto our deck. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with its little woodpecking friend who just happened to mysteriously expire after an unfortunate run-in with an unidentified flying crabbject.
I've caught it staring at me a couple of times while I'm doing the dishes.
Needless to say, I don't go into the backyard anymore.

Dud, I have a pigeon that's been nesting on my balcony for YEARS. All those people who say you never see a baby pigeon? Come on over! Will send you a picture separately. Oh, and due to all the construction going on in my once crack-whore-infested now too-cool-for-me neighborhood, that pigeon's nesting material of choice is -- ZIP TIES. NOT KIDDING. No twigs, no branches - plastic. What is this world coming to?
Is there any support from below, or is that nest suspended between the two flood lights? I think you need to turn that bird into CPS, and find those babies a new nest.
It's like nature is just asking you to come up with new and interesting ways to off birds. What'll be for the robin? A little poison? Maybe a blow to the head with a lead pipe?
I think the best solution is to go down to Hobby Lobby and buy some tiny doll sized barbeque grills and take that little bastard out, Brad Delp style.
