Why I Never Liked Room 222...

Just to give you a little peek inside the dark, twisted little minds of the spawnage, they do this thing whenever they see a clock with the time 2:22 on it. It's a chant, basically, that lasts until the time changes to 2:23. Like everything else they do, it was kinda funny the first 9000 times they did it, but it tends to grate on one after a while... like coarse-grit sandpaper on the inside of your eyelid.

Well, I was innocently packing lunches this morning, as the spawnage ate their breakfasts, when it suddenly dawned on Mr. Z just what day it was today. What follows is only ONE, SINGLE MINUTE of what proved to be a painfully long... unrelenting... never-ending... perpetual... uninterrupted morning:

"222" by MR. Z and MISS O

Wake me up when it's 2/23.

has it let up at all? Knowing I could stop it at any time made it alright, intriguing almost

PG, it has only let up 'cuz they went to school. It will most likely resume at around 3:50.

Say what you will about the high annoyance factor, but your kids have got kind of a white-boy free-form rhythm thing goin' on!

I dig it. I also dig that they live in your house, not mine.

This is great! Nothing like a headache to take the mind off the numb hands/feet, no? My 3 year old niece informed me last night that her imaginary friend only eats "cake and bones". ha ha. These little creature are a lot of fun. (of course, I'm only an aunt..which means I get to revel in their excellentness and then send them home!) sarah

All I can say, Sarah, is NEVER refuse to serve cake to your niece.

has been stuck in my head all day. It's not too bad, really. I had a more productive than usual day.

I actually sent a text to Kim this afternoon: It's 2:22.
She replied:All hail the crabbykids.

Don't be surprised when we show up on your doorstep some day. At 2:22, of course.
